Mbappe now a Real Madrid man

Paris: French football legend Kylian Mbappe has joined Real Madrid. For many years, there were speculations about Mbappe joining this team. However, now Mbappe has signed a five-year deal with the Spanish League La Liga giants. Real Madrid confirmed this. Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League title for a record 15th time last week. Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid defeated Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund 2–0 in the UEFA Champions League final at the iconic Wembley Stadium.

Two days after lifting the record 15th Champions League trophy, Real Madrid confirmed Mbappe’s contract on a free transfer. The former France captain has spent seven years at Los Blancos with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Now he will be seen playing for the Real Madrid team for the next five seasons. The 25-year-old player announced his decision to leave PSG on 10 May. Mbappe will join the Real Madrid team in July.

Madrid first got information about Mbappe in December 2012. Mbappe was invited to Madrid for a week at that time while he was at the French Football Federation’s academy. The youngster met his icons Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo at the club’s training ground.
